Michael Clark: The Other Side of Fear: Taking Adventure Photography to the Edge

Michael Clark has been working as a professional adventure photographer for over two decades. In his 25 years as a pro, he has worked with prestigious clients like Apple, Nike, Fujifilm, Adobe, Red Bull, National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer and many other commercial and editorial clients. In his 1.5 hour presentation Michael will cover a wide variety of topics including a brief overview of his career, how he has used technology to continually push his photography forward and stand out from the crowd, what it is like to be on a big commercial assignment, working with medium format cameras (like the FUJIFILM GFX 100), and how he has crafted some of his most iconic images. As a world-renown adventure sports, travel and landscape photographer, Michael is knowledgeable on a wide range of topics and this presentation will be chocked full of little-known nuggets that can help you become a better photographer. Using examples from his work, Steve will discuss putting intent and story into your images and how to begin to find your voice. In addition, he will give some great advice on where to find inspiration and ways to move past creative blocks.

We’ll cover all of the advanced color tools and adjust the depth and dimension of a file, along with the flexibility of layers and how far we can push images.
